David and Karin Bezuidenhout started New Creation Art in 2000.
Drama and theater has always been David's dream since childhood. He first tried his hand at a ‘production of sorts’ in 1995. It was nothing major, just a small Christmas concert with a simple story line, a few songs complete with a dance or two. In 1996 he wrote and staged his first ‘big’ production, which coincided with the opening of Open Doors Christian Church’s new building. Called The Glory of His Presence, the play focused on God’s motivation for creating man – which is to worship Him and to live in His abiding presence. The hour-long production was a musical extravaganza with song and dance together with colorful banners and flags. In 1989 he was prompted to write The Hell Hole and together with Senior Pastor Henk Straus' input and the leading of the Holy Spirit this production saw the light. The Hell Hole takes an in-depth look at how the forces of darkness operate in everyday life situations, manipulating people to do things that are contrary to their moral standards and norms. It addresses modern day issues and puts the audience before a choice between life and death, blessing or curse and ultimately, heaven or hell. Invitations to host the Hell Hole started to come in and since then he has produced it at many churches around South Africa, Namibia and Perth, Australia.
David is busy finishing his next stage production, The Quest, and the premiere will be during December. More details about the production and information with regards to the dates and venues will be available soon.
